Summer Intern Summit Spotlights Improve I-70 KC Project
July 3, 2025
The Clarkson-Radmacher team proudly hosted high school participants from Camp NAWIC for a behind-the-scenes look at the Improve I-70 Kansas City project and a celebratory lunch at our Crossroads office.
Camp NAWIC, organized by the Kansas City Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), is a free summer program that introduces high school girls to career opportunities in the construction industry through hands-on activities, presentations, and site visits.
While visiting the project site, campers had the opportunity to safely observe ongoing work near Benton Boulevard from a location outside of the active work zone. They engaged in conversations with superintendents, craftworkers, summer interns, communications staff, project managers, and MoDOT engineers, learning about the wide range of careers available in construction and infrastructure development.

Afterward, Clarkson welcomed the campers, their families, and camp volunteers to our Crossroads office for a certificate ceremony and lunch. It was an energizing and inspiring experience to share our workspace with so many future construction builders and leaders!
As a Platinum Sponsor of Camp NAWIC, we're proud to help support STEM education and inspire the next generation of women in the trades.
