Clarkson in the Community: Veterans Community Project Commissary Day
February 26, 2026
The Clarkson team recently participated in the National Institute for Construction Excellence (NICE KC) iBuild Showcase, an annual event designed to give students a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to the construction industry. This year's showcase welcomed more than 3,000 middle and high school students from across the Kansas City region.
The iBuild Showcase provides a unique opportunity for students and educators to explore a wide range of construction careers in a single setting. Through interactive exhibits and conversations with industry professionals, students gain valuable insight into the skills, roles, and pathways available in the industry.
At the Clarkson booth, team members shared information about the company's work across the Midwest, discussed career opportunities, and provided a firsthand look at what different roles within the organization entail. Volunteers also highlighted the Clarkson-Radmacher Joint Venture team's ongoing work on the Improve I-70 Kansas City project, helping students understand how large-scale infrastructure projects are planned and built.
Adding to the hands-on experience, Clarkson brought a front-end loader to the event, giving students an opportunity to climb into the cab and see the convention hall from an operator's point of view, a highlight for many attendees and a fun way to experience the equipment used on our jobsite.
Community is one of Clarkson's core values, and events like the iBuild Showcase are a meaningful way we live that value. Our team is proud to be a part of initiatives that expand opportunities and build a future workforce ready to shape the communities where we live and work.
