Construction continues to move forward on the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville project, with crews making significant progress during overnight paving operations. Work is currently focused on building the added third lane in both directions between Warrenton and Wentzville, helping expand capacity and improve traffic flow along this critical corridor.
In recent weeks, paving operations in the Truesdale area have averaged 1,400 to 1,700 cubic yards of concrete each night. Experienced superintendents, foremen, and craft professionals from Kansas City have been working alongside newer team members from the St. Louis region, sharing knowledge, building relationships, and reinforcing Clarkson's commitment to working safely and delivering quality results.
As training continues over the coming weeks, these overnight operations will gradually transition to be led entirely by the St. Louis-based crews. This milestone reflects Clarkson's continued investment in building a strong, local workforce to support long-term project success.
Night work plays an important role in minimizing impacts to daytime traffic while allowing crews to complete critical paving activities safely and efficiently. With each shift, the team is making steady progress toward the project's overall goal of improving mobility, reliability, and safety along I-70.
