Clarkson-Radmacher Welcomes The Builders for Improve I-70 KC Project Update
August 20, 2026
On August 17th, representatives from MoDOT, the Improve I-70 Alliance team, local leaders, and members of the Warrenton community gathered to celebrate the completion of the new Route 47 Bridge over I-70 with a ceremonial "ribbon-joining."
Rather than a ribbon cutting, participants joined two pieces of the ribbon together, a fitting way to recognize a project milestone that has restored an important connection between the north and south sides of Warrenton.

Work to replate the Route 47 Bridge began in late March. In just a few months, the Improve I-70 Alliance team delivered the new structure, restoring a critical route for residents, businesses, emergency services, and others traveling through the community.
The new bridge also includes a pedestrian pathway and aesthetic enhancements provided by the City of Warrenton, including additional lighting and railing.
The bridge replacement is one piece of the larger Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville project, which will add a third lane of I-70 in each direction, improve interchanges and bridges throughout the corridor, and deliver safety, mobility, and reliability improvements along one of Missouri's busiest transportation routes.
Clarkson is proud to be part of the Improve I-70 Alliance team alongside Emery, Sapp & Sons, Bartlett & West, and HNTB, working together to deliver this historic project for MoDOT and communities throughout the corridor.
Congratulations to the crews, project partners, local leaders, and everyone who helped make this milestone possible!
