Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville | Route 47 Bridge Reopens

Crews on the Improve I-70 Kansas City project continue to make progress along eastbound I-70, with a series of recent concrete pours moving the current phase of construction forward.
Earlier this week, paving crews placed more than 250 cubic yards of concrete across approximately 600 feet of the eastbound on-ramp near Manchester Trafficway. The team followed that work with another 140 cubic yards of concrete across 600 feet of new shoulder along eastbound I-70.
Together, the pour represents nearly 400 cubic yards of new concrete pavement and an important step toward restoring additional traffic capacity through this section of the project.
The work is helping prepare for the reopening of the right lane of eastbound I-70 and the U.S. 40 on-ramp to eastbound I-70 in the coming weeks. Weather permitting, crews expect to complete the remaining concrete pours associated with this phase by the end of the week.
The paving is one piece of the larger Improve I-70 Kansas City project being delivered by the Clarkson-Radmacher Joint Venture team for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). The design-build project extends from The Paseo to U.S. 40/31st Street and includes major roadway, bridge, safety, and multi-modal improvements throughout the corridor.
Work across the project requires extensive coordination between paving crews, field supervision, traffic control, safety professionals, project management, and numerous other team members, particularly as construction continues alongside active interstate traffic.
