Earlier this week, the Improve I-70 KC team had the honor of participating in the NICE KC Annual Awards Luncheon as keynote panelists. Our session, Improve I-70 KC: Paving the Way to Career Opportunity, provided a unique opportunity to speak to more than 500 industry professionals, educators, counselors, and students about the outreach efforts built into this project from day one.
During the panel, we shared how the project is engaging students across the Kansas City region to spark interest in STEM and construction careers, highlighted hands-on opportunities for learning more about the industry, and explained why MoDOT made this initiative a key project goal and priority.
