It's an exciting time for Missouri as the state kicks off a next-generation investment with the expansion of I-70. At $2.8 billion, the largest investment in the state's history, the I-70 expansion will add a third lane to both eastbound and westbound lanes to alleviate congestion around the cities along the more than 250-mile stretch between Kansas City and St. Louis.
"It's a fun day to be governor when you get to do things like this," said Governor Mike Parson at today's ceremonial signing of HB 4. "We are going to change the landscape of this state. We are building the infrastructure and economy to make our state better."
Additional project benefits include expected bridge improvements, increased freight capacity, safer travel for all I-70 drivers and passengers, and job creation during the next several years of construction.
The Clarkson team wants to thank the Governor and legislature of Missouri for their investment in the future and the benefits it will provide our industry for years to come.
