US-169 Passing Lane & Paving Project Named ACPA Silver Award Winner

We are excited to announce that the De Soto Local Road Improvements Project has been recognized as the Best Portland Cement Concrete Municipal Streets & Intersections (>30,000 SY) Project in Kansas for 2024 by the Missouri/Kansas Chapter of the ACPA.
This award highlights Clarkson's dedication to innovation, quality, and efficiency in infrastructure development. The De Soto Local Road Improvements Project was particularly significant as it was the first-ever Progressive Design-Build project in KDOT's history. This groundbreaking approach allowed for greater collaboration, streamlined decision-making, and accelerated delivery -- ensuring that critical infrastructure was in place to support the growing needs of the region.
Located in De Soto, Kansas, this transformative project was essential in preparing the area for the Panasonic Energy Co. electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant, a major economic driver for the state. This project provided essential transportation improvements and infrastructure to support both current and future development.
Winning this award is a testament to the hard work and expertise of the entire project team. We are honored to be recognized for our role in shaping Kansas' infrastructure and contributing to the success of this historic project.
