Clarkson in the Community: Awesome Ambitions

Leaving a positive impact on our community is a key part of our company values. We are proud to support the Awesome Ambitions mentorship program and to sponsor their 2023 Purse-onality fundraising event.

We first met the awesome girls of Awesome Ambitions while working on the Kansas City International Airport New Terminal Project. Along with project developer Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate and joint venture partners Clark Construction Group and The Weitz Company, we coordinated two jobsite tours for more than 70 high school girls in the program. In addition to the tour, the girls were able to meet with several women on the project team to learn more about career opportunities in the construction industry.

For more than 25 years, Awesome Ambitions has been empowering, educating, and equipping 8th through 12th grade girls from underserved communities to know their value and develop a plan for future success in wellness, education, and careers. To learn more, click here.
