Summer Intern Spotlight: Tristen Shores

In honor of National Intern Day (June 28), we want to highlight the talented and hardworking interns that joined the Clarkson team this summer. First up is Tristen Shores from Clark County, Missouri, who’s been supporting our project management and estimating teams with quantities, daily and weekly timecard reports, and more. Growing up in a small town in a graduating class of 65, moving to Kansas City has been a big change of pace.

“The bigger city setting is new to me, but I’ve really enjoyed working with a close-knit company like Clarkson,” he said. “It was important to me that I worked somewhere that I could contribute and not be ‘just a number’ in a bigger organization. I’ve learned a lot about the importance of problem solving and working together as a team to get things done.”

Tristen will return to Missouri S&T this fall as a sophomore majoring in civil engineering and shared that his hands-on experience over the summer will be a huge benefit in his more advanced classes.
