September Safety Stand Down: Construction Suicide Prevention

In 2020, a mission-driven group of volunteers from across the construction industry, including Clarkson Safety Director Jeff Gamble, came together with one goal: to save lives. They collaborated to launch the inaugural Construction Suicide Prevention Week, observed the first week of September each year, to raise awareness about the high number of suicides in the industry while fighting the stigmas surrounding mental illness.

All month long, Clarkson jobsites are taking part in safety stand downs to provide important tools to help our employees identify if a friend or co-worker is in crisis, and what they can to do to help.
