Buck O’Neil Bridge Middle Arch Demolition Complete

Demolition is underway on the eastbound portion of the K-10 bridge over Kill Creek in Johnson County, Kansas. The existing bridge deck is being removed in pieces weighing approximately 12,000 pounds each and measure up to 21 feet in length.
The deck demolition will continue through next week before work begins on steel and concrete repairs in preparation for the new bridge deck that will be poured later this year.
The project is scheduled for completion in late November.
