Billy Clarkson
President
Billy represents the sixth generation of leadership at Clarkson Construction, continuing a long-standing legacy of excellence and innovation. Before earning his degree, he gained hands-on experience working summers for both Clarkson Construction and Superior Bowen Asphalt Company. Since then, Billy has been actively involved in all facets of the business, including project management, estimating, and accounting.
As President, Billy oversees and manages all Clarkson Construction business activities, with a primary focus on business development and customer relations. His experience spans heavy highway projects, private developments, and high-profile, award-winning design-build ventures, including:

- Kansas City International Airport New Terminal
- De Soto Local Road Improvements Progressive Design-Build
- Buck O'Neil Memorial Bridge Replacement Project
- Improve I-70 Kansas City
- Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville
Under his leadership, Clarkson was named a 2025 Champion of Business by the Kansas City Business Journal, in addition to numerous project and company awards.
Billy's comprehensive involvement in project operations, combined with his expertise in banking, bonding, and technology, enables him to effectively evaluate and manage all aspects of the company. He works closely with senior leadership, including the Chief Financial Officer, Vice Presidents, Field Operations, and Senior Project Managers, to ensure organizational alignment. Externally, Billy collaborates closely with the Heavy Contractors Association, as well as banking and bonding partners, to maintain strong industry partnerships.
