Merrill leads strategic growth and infrastructure development initiatives at Clarkson, focusing on business advancement opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and aligning long-term strategy across the organization.

Merrill brings a diverse background spanning aviation, transportation infrastructure, and international business. He previously served as Director of Aviation for the Kansas Department of Transportation, where he led statewide aviation initiatives and collaborated with the Federal Aviation Administration, earning the FAA Impact Award for his contributions. He later served as Chief Strategy Officer at Building Resources, where he led strategic development efforts and supported the alignment of resources across infrastructure and construction initiatives.

His career has been centered around development, operations, and strategic planning, with a focus on supporting complex infrastructure projects and organizational growth. Merrill works closely with leadership teams, public agencies, and industry partners to advance key initiatives and maintain strong relationships across the construction and transportation sectors.

Merrill holds a Bachelor of Science in History and Interpersonal Communications from Missouri Western University and an MBA in International Business from Baker University. His honors include Ingram's 40 Under 40, the FAA Impact Award, the March of the Living "Keeper of Memories" Award, and recognition as an Honorary Ambassador of Chuncheon City, South Korea.
